FERRARI: THE CONTRACTUAL SITUATION FROM HAMILTON TO LECLERC

We had already discussed the problems of the Maranello team at length, but by the end of 2026, the contractual matters of the drivers of the Rossa will need to be addressed.

First of all, the situation to understand is that of Lewis: does the Englishman want to stay, does he still have the motivation to continue his career in F1, despite his age? In fact, with the expiration of the two-year contract, Hamilton faces two options: either he asks for a renewal or he says goodbye to the paddock, because looking for another team at this moment is very difficult even for a seven-time world champion.

Assuming Lewis Hamilton retires from racing, the problems for Ferrari would not stop there. Leclerc could also leave the Maranello team in search of a winning destination. Charles’ destinations? Aston Martin had courted the Monegasque; however, the very poor form of the English team does not bode well for the coming years. At this point, a super trade is more likely: Leclerc either to McLaren or Either in Mercedes or in Red Bull in place of a top driver, a new Ferrari driver.

No official word regarding the Scuderia’s interests, however, there could be some candidates. Above all, I would suggest the name of Oliver Bearman. The Haas driver has already raced for Ferrari and would deserve a chance, given his great potential.
