Besides Ferrari, the situation is very turbulent contractually also at McLaren. The coexistence between Norris and Piastri seems destined to end soon, and the one who might pay the price could be the Australian number 81. It will be up to Mark Webber, Piastri’s manager, to determine the best destination for him.
Piastri could go to Ferrari: the hypothetical Piastri-Bearman combination would be perfect for the Rossa. Two young drivers, with one a bit more experienced, ready to act as a mentor to the other. After all, Oscar, apparently, has always known how to manage his ego, even in the most awkward situations with Norris.
Otherwise, he could choose a riskier path: going to a growing team, but certainly being the lead driver. Aston Martin remains a strong option, with the almost certain retirement of Fernando Alonso, but also Audi, with Hulkenberg at the end of his career, could offer itself to the Australian. Out of the picture, instead, Alpine, with which Piastri does not intend to return after the case of the 2022.
