Garmin Forerunner 55 is a watch designed for runners but versatile enough for everyday use. Although it has been on market for several years, it continues to stand out thanks to its long battery life, reliable GPS, and excellent value for money.
Battery, GPS and market price
Battery life depends on usage: up to two weeks in smartwatch mode without Bluetooth or GPS, and up to 20 hours with continuous GPS tracking.
Garmin Forerunner 55 is a sports watch designed for runners as well as those who are just starting out. Beyond running, it supports a variety of other activities, many of which are GPS-enabled. With built-in GPS, it tracks your outdoor workouts, showing the routes and paths you’ve taken along with detailed activity data
Over four years since its launch as the successor to the Forerunner 45, this watch has maintained an excellent price point. For less than €200, it offers a reliable, high-quality option for anyone balancing work and sport who wants to keep track of both.
Control of body values and Garmin Connect
The Garmin Forerunner 55 features highly accurate body metrics tracking. It monitors heart rate, stress levels, VO₂ max, and Body Battery. Heart rate is the number of heart beats per minute and stress levels controls our parametres of stress during the day. VO2 max, or maximum oxygen consumption, is an indicator of the body’s ability to use oxygen during strenuous exercise. The last parameter is Body Battery, an estimate of the energy spent or recovered during the day.
The data recorded by the watch is then displayed on the Garmin Connect app, providing a comprehensive overview of your daily metrics
